Our range of integral lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) batteries with various voltages, capacities and layouts. All integral batteries are supplied with plugs and leads and where required end caps for panel fixing. We have carried out accelerated lifetime tests on our LiFePO₄ batteries and have the data to show that the operational life of these cells is double the operational life of traditional emergency lighting batteries. In addition to this, the extremely low self discharge of this chemistry dramatically reduces the power consumption under use. For example, NiCd batteries had a power consumption of 5W, where equivalent LiFePO₄ batteries have an average power consumption of 1.2W. Lithium iron phosphate batteries have become the mainstay of emergency lighting in recent years, especially in light of the upcoming ban on nickel cadmium batteries for emergency lighting. From the 25th of June 2025, all our batteries will feature temperature monitoring. In keeping with the latest update to BS EN 61347-2-7 Their associated modules will now stop charging the cells if their case temperature falls below 0°C or rises above 55°C. The emergency packs will continue to operate where required, providing their is enough capacity remaining in the battery. Our lithium iron phosphate cells feature a low self-discharge of 5% per month.
